FAFSA, Affording College Tuition & College Goal Sunday 2011

Florida State College Director of Recruitment Kevin Cotton gives pointers on how to prepare for college--from the financial perspective.
By Michael Corby Mon, August 30, 2010 3:27 pm EDT

Planning for college involves more than getting good grades and studying for entrance exams. A year's tuition can cost as much as a really nice set of wheels, depending on where you want to go. If you're seeking financial aid, you're going to have to complete the FAFSA--the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Fear not: College Goal Sunday is an annual event that provides professional help in completing this form. This clip features Florida State College Director of Recruitment talking about the event prior to the February 2010 event. College Goal Sunday 2011 is scheduled for Feb. 20 at locations in Duval and Nassau counties. Not only will students and parents get free assistance in completing the form, attendees are eligible for scholarship $$ just for attending, courtesy of your local institutions of higher education. More information will be available closer to the date, but check out FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
